Program Description

Event Details

Throughout 2026, the country will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, and Ohio will commemorate each month with a special theme to highlight our state’s history and significance.  Join author Mary Stockwell for a fascinating and educational talk on Ohio’s major indigenous tribes (Shawnee, Delaware, Ottawa, Wyandot, and Seneca or Mingo) — from their settlement in Ohio in the early 1700s, their many wars to retain their claim to the Ohio Country up through the War of 1812, and then the aftermath of that war — and their removal. Program generously sponsored by Read Between the Wines.
