Program Description

Event Details

Integrated pest management is the idea of using multiple pest management methods to regulate pest and disease pressure in our fields and gardens. IPM balances pest management goals with goals related to plant health, economics, and the environment. Some of the tools available in the IPM tool box include cultural controls, physical controls, biological controls, and chemical control measures. This talk seeks to take a deeper dive into how we manage pest populations in our home gardens and how we can implement IPM strategies to be more efficient and environmentally friendly with our pest management decisions.
