Program Description

Event Details

Lorain County residents age 65 and over, join the Lorain County Metroparks for a FREE bus trip to the Benjamin Bacon House at the Vermilion River Reservation in Vermilion, Ohio. A staff-led tour of early settler Benjamin Bacon's home will provide a history lesson while you explore the surrounding area. Tram services are available on the site during the visit. After the Benjamin Bacon Home visit, participants will be transported to Sunset Cafe at Lakeview Park for a free boxed lunch (your choice from a list of options) and if time allows, may take a self-guided tour of the rose garden on site. Lorain County Metroparks bus pickup and dropoff for this program will occur at Grafton-Midview Public Library, 983 Main St. Space is limited. Patrons may only register for one of the tours.
