It’s estimated that nearly 22 million pounds of plastic enters the Great Lakes each year, posing threats to the environment and, potentially, public health. Join Abigail Comar, Marine Debris Outreach Specialist for the Ohio Sea Grant, to learn about the concerns that arise when plastics enter Lake Erie. We will explore the different types of microplastics that you may regularly encounter. You will also walk away with simple steps to reduce your use of plastics.
